The illustrator goddess Maira Kalman posted an update to her New York Times blog! My cousin Heidi flagged me on this, knowing how much I love pink coats!! This made my Sunday. (Thank you Heidi. Love you!)

Pink it is, indeed.

(PS: My previous Kalman posts and a photo of my beloved pink cape.)

  1. It’s wonderful how certain colors make life worth living:)

“Equal Justice Under Law!” Truth or fiction?

  2. I have a pink coat and I LOVE it, but it’s a dusty pink. I would love to have a bright pink like this one!

  3. When I see pink coats in front of the Supreme Court, for some reason I think Code Pink. Not sure what that says about me?!

I like the new additions tot he blog! Continue to be very jealous…

  4. Tina…somehow I missed out on your pink cape.

I only got online to check email a friend in Khartoum some stuff but saw "pink coat" & had to stop by. If/when you come to DC again (in the winter), I'll meet you wearing one of my three (yes,3) pink coats or, if you want play The Patty Duke Show, I'll wear my pink cape. I'm not kidding.

One pink coat is vintage 60s mohair, one is 1950s dupioni silk evening coat with a totally cool button at top (only one), one is a short evening jacket. Everyone always has a reaction(usually) good & but say "Oh I could never wear a pink coat." "Why ever not?" That's what I ask (in the nicest & most polite of ways I assure you.) ciao-meow..

  5. Pink anything cheers me up Tina darling…I’ve been a fan of Maira Kalman for a while now- isn’t she just fabulous?! Hope you have a fab new week too! ~Kisses*
