This is fantastic! I have no idea where it’s located or who took the picture. (Do you know?)
Looks like it was taken in a parking garage, perhaps. It’s a mural of books on cement stairs!

LOVE!

UPDATE: Thank you Judy for discovering the origin of the photo: It’s from the blog A Life in Focus. The mural was created by the Greenville Literacy Assn. in Greenville, South Carolina. And it is indeed in a parking garage. (Yay for Google Image Search.)

  1. Hi, Using Google Image Search several sources confirmed the source of this photo: “A fine set of stairs painted to look like books at a busy downtown parking garage. These were sponsored by The Greenville Literacy Association in Greenville, SC. Just wonderful. I used to live there. Any project that promotes literacy is a worthy one.” From a Life in Focus here: http://contentinacottage.blogspot.com/2010/02/more-book-stairs-to-love.html
I love Google Image Search because I can keep track of who and how people are using my photographs and have it installed as an app on my computer so I can right click on an image to trace it’s origin.

  2. And all of the sudden you don’t want to leave the garage ;).

Imagine how many gray spaces would benefit with this treatement?!

    Awesome indeed.
