Do you read zines? I was noticing today that the online store Ooga Booga has a large selection of them:



Also, Time magazine has a story this week profiling the highs and lows of Zine culture.
(One of the highs: Girl Crush Zine, my favorite!)

Do you have a favorite Zine? There are so many out there, it’s hard to know which ones are good…

    I had a friend when I lived in Denver who published Zines. It was pretty cool. I also had a lot of friends who self-published their poetry as well.

    I ADORE Zines.

    Two of my favorites are:
    Invincible Summer by Nicole J. Georges (you can buy them collected in two volumes)
    and Doris by Cindy Crabb (there’s a Doris anthology ’91-2001)

    Oops! I hit send too fast. Also, anything that the Good Mail Day artists, Jennie Hinchliff and Carolee Wheeler publish are MUST haves. They are two more of my favorite zinesters!!
