Laughter is sunshine, it chases winter from the human face

Downtown books.

Happy weekend. It’s a little chilly and foggy here today. In an hour I have to get ready for a brunch in West Hollywood. Very exciting. Then I’m back home…

This week I’m reading Simon Van Booy’s “Love Begins in Winter.” Have you heard of him? His writing is so beautiful. I want to underline every sentence.

Random weirdness: My obsession of the moment is finding vintage Facconable jackets on eBay, from the days when Albert Goldberg was still designing the line. Lots of plaid and herringbone, lovies!

What are you doing this weekend?

  2. Lovely – ee cummings !
This weekend .. hmmm… I can only plan day by day, my attention span is so short. Today we are going wandering in the parks and through the feria to check out the merchandise and buy me a hat to protect my poor head from the Argentine sun.. then on to sitting in the shade somewhere and people watching.
That is about as far as my energy levels can come up with at this moment :)
    besos ~

  3. Your pictures sum up beautifully what I intend spending my weekend on. Just add “catch up on sleep” after crazy stress exam week and it would fit me like a glove.
I will add Van Booy to my “To read list”.. Love that you feel like underlining every sentence, sounds just like a thing for me then.

  4. This weekend I will be reading Hemingway and doing a lot of thinking. It’s a birthday weekend–perfect time for contemplation and celebration.

  5. O, e.e.! Always and forever in love. My weekend will consist of making headway on a project for work that I’ve been putting off for quite some time. I also plan to go dancing and finish cleaning the apartment…and write.

  6. As always I love your choice of images, words, “mood”.
Perfect setting for an invitation to relax and enjoy (my kind of…) Saturday!

  7. I love this post. Thank you for it. I will look for the book, since you recommend it (not just because I like the title…).
