Hello English Muse readers! I’m Karen from A Simple Cup of Tea and while Tina’s off now and then for work I’ll be doing the honours here as Sunday guest blogger.

First of all: happy Easter to all of you.

A wonderful picture by photographer Kari Herer

I love Easter. It’s a holiday that reminds me of hope, life, new things to come. I do have to admit that the copious amounts of chocolate that come with it aren’t too bad either. You’re either Belgian or you’re not I guess.

But even more fun than lots of chocolate eggs is the time spent with friends and family. I spent this morning working at the bakery (too much chocolate for my own good) but then spent the afternoon with my brother watching Paris-Roubaix and now we’re starting our week-long Harry Potter marathon. It’s nice to spend time with him even though my schedule is so busy all the time.

Next year I’m hoping to organize a lovely big Easter brunch with my family. Perfect for some quality family time and we will have Easter Monday to recover from all those mimosas…

Nicole Franzen is one of my favourite food/lifestyle photographers. Her work is to die for.

I hope you have a lovely day. See you all next Sunday!

  1. Happy Easter, Karen. And Tina too. Sounds like quality time with your brother, Karen. I hope it’s lots of fun.

  2. Thank you. I have this overflowing amount of chocolate in the house. The ‘downside’ to working in a bakery… hehe.

  3. Happy Easter!

And welcome as a guest blogger, I’m happy to meet you! I’ll be posting here every Wednesday too, so now I guess we’re guest blogger neighbours! haha:)

Anyways, just wanted to say hello! <3

  4. Hi Marthe. Thanks. That is rather awesome. I guess we will be.
Do you have another blog where you blog as well?

  5. Thank you. I did and I still have loads of chocolate to finish as well. I think I’ll let my brother ‘help’ with that.

  6. Poor you. Then again, I don’t know if that happens where you live but here in Belgium all the Easter chocolate is all seriously discounted now… There might be some hope still.
