Hello English Muse readers! I’m Karen from A Simple Cup of Tea and while Tina’s off now and then for work I’ll be doing the honours here as Sunday guest blogger.

First of all: happy Easter to all of you.

A wonderful picture by photographer Kari Herer

I love Easter. It’s a holiday that reminds me of hope, life, new things to come. I do have to admit that the copious amounts of chocolate that come with it aren’t too bad either. You’re either Belgian or you’re not I guess.

But even more fun than lots of chocolate eggs is the time spent with friends and family. I spent this morning working at the bakery (too much chocolate for my own good) but then spent the afternoon with my brother watching Paris-Roubaix and now we’re starting our week-long Harry Potter marathon. It’s nice to spend time with him even though my schedule is so busy all the time.

Next year I’m hoping to organize a lovely big Easter brunch with my family. Perfect for some quality family time and we will have Easter Monday to recover from all those mimosas…

Nicole Franzen is one of my favourite food/lifestyle photographers. Her work is to die for.

I hope you have a lovely day. See you all next Sunday!

Thank you. I did and I still have loads of chocolate to finish as well. I think I’ll let my brother ‘help’ with that.

Nicole Franzen’s image is awesome… This was my first easter without an Easter egg. I miss it, especially in retrospect.

  16. Karen says:

Poor you. Then again, I don’t know if that happens where you live but here in Belgium all the Easter chocolate is all seriously discounted now… There might be some hope still.
