Moths and butterflies have always fascinated me. They make such an amazing transformation.

Rose Sanderson is an English artist, in her profile she talks about her inspirations.

She is interested in the natural world, especially that which is generally unnoticed or disregarded, the fragility of life, and freedom. Butterflies embody many of those ideas.

She works in acrylic on book covers. The books add another dimension to the paintings, they too have transformed from one form of art to another.

Her fascination with these animals shines through in the obvious care and detail that goes into creating these paintings. They are lovely.

Have a transformative day,

Sarah from Design Flourishes

These are absolutely beautiful. I love the idea of metamorphosis – both the butterflies and the repurposed books. I could do with a couple in my home!

Oh, i also looove butterflies and i use them also in my work. If i only can. Just shoot one story to magazine which had a little bit surrealist feeling and of course there were big butterflies on the shoulder 🙂
